Hello Santa Deadites all around the world,
Thank you so much for the big, overwhelming resonance this blog/website is getting from all Evil Dead fans scattered throughout the planet (almost 30.000 visits). Next year, I will add some more contents and not betray the expectations "floating" around this place like the infamous "smoke trails" of the Kandarian Demon.
More specifically, I'm developing a new theory about the weird "cartoonish"/"comical" nature of the Kandarian Demon in the spin-off movie 'ARMY OF DARKNESS', featuring a flawed duplicate of the original Ash as lead character. Indeed, this different approach of the Evil Dead sprouts straight from the special quantum pattern of Ash's duplicate ("The Black-Haired AoD Ash", as I use to call him) and the coming-into-existence process of Bad Ash/Evil Ash, his archnemesis.
Stay tuned, don't lose your mind.
In the while, Merry Xmas. Peace in the Middle Ages. Someone is lurking in the fruit cellar... Claus, are you there?

Postcard from Kandar Castle, Basilicata
Hello FELLOW MELLOW DEADITES,
This castle is located in Matera, Basilicata, where Mel Gibson filmed his hit movie "The Passion of the Christ" (2005).
Looks familiar?
I'm currently spending a week here. See you in 1300 B.C.

Darkman lives!
Hello Deadites,
Is this stuff off-topic or not? I don't think it's a "yes", since Darkman teamed-up with Ash in recent years. Without counting the fact Darkman has been Ash for few minutes in his life, back in 1990.
Well, fact is, I started as an huge and maniac Darkman fan in 1990. 'Darkman' is superior to all 3 Raimi's Spider-Man movies combined, sadly. Said that, 'Darkman' is one of the top and best superhero movies of all the time.
In 2004 I created THE one and only Darkman fan forum in the net:
The Passion of the Darkman
Dulcis in fundo, SHOUT! is working on a special edition blu-ray of 'Darkman', so expect: 2k transfer, deleted scenes, commentaries, Making Of, documentaries, pictures and many more!
Thank you for listening. Now I must go, the synthetic skin mask is almost ready.

Evil Dead 2013 retconned out of Ash's universe...
DEAD HEADS,
Sorry.
Mia's cabin may be placed in another region, not Tennessee.
There's one Oldsmobile Ash used in TED1 and ED2. The Oldsmobile outside Mia's cabin was nothing more than a glaring cameo.
The book is not a duplicate of the original Necronomicon Ex Mortes from ED2.
The Deadites are different. Hugely different.
It's an alternate universe.
I will revise the contents of the blog.
End of the conversation.

"Name's Ash". Hell yes.
Hello Winged Nightmares from 1300 AD,
The blog is soaring again. So many visits and pretty private messages. Thank you so much.
By the way, my mind made me notice that, in EVIL DEAD II, the name of our beloved lead character is muttered just ONE TIME and it never was heard again. More specifically, it came from Deadite Linda's head pretending to be a "normal" decapitated Linda's head (still alive?). Does it make sense? To me, yes. A lot. LOL.
By the way, EVIL DEAD 2013 grossed: 97 millions of dollars worldwide.
Spell "success" with me.
S U C C E S S.
Expect a new deadizing sequel. ASAP.

Thank you so much for sending me tons of positive e-mails and messages, I did not expect such a tremendous response. I feel loved.
Okay. EVIL DEAD 2013 will be launched in Italy within the next days. I'll kiss my nerves goodbye!

Talking about Alien and Aliens... no wait, I meant The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II
Hello Bobby Joes,
I refined some passages in the timeline connecting THE EVIL DEAD with EVIL DEAD II. So please check it out again.
http://evildeadarmyofdarkness.blogspot.it/p/evil-dead-ii-sequel.html
Since I was a kid, I always thought of EVIL DEAD II as a distant sequel in the same league of ALIENS:
"I'm older, I'm stronger, I'm better and more prepared this time, I'm no more a victim. And I will destroy you. See by yourself".
This is my vision, and there's some massive evidence on screen too. I don't like the direct continuation talk (the recap blah blah blah blah okay! I know!). I don't like the remake talk. As simple as that.
Again, this is my vision, it's fan made, it's unofficial, it's for free, just enjoy the ride before it's too late.

Issue about the SOULS the Evil Dead needs to... take over the world
Hello Ferocious Deadite Captains,
I've been quiet for a while, promoting the blog and prepping new content. I'm still working on it anyway.
However, I added some additional explanations to the THE KANDARIAN DEMON page... because ED 2013, TED and ED2 raised some poignant questions about the "Soul Issue", especially ED 2013.
For instance:
Basic victims and 'Slumber Mode'
In order to feed itself and amplify its demonic powers on reality, the Evil Dead needs souls to consume and thus nourish its primordial existence.
More here:
Love you. xxx

Gimme some equinox, baby
Hello Cavemen,
The infamous and highly successful EQUINOX trilogy is gonna be released on blu-ray format for the very first time. "EQUINOX" (1970), "EQUINOX II: Dead by Dawn" (1977) and the final chapter, "ARMY OF THE BLUE CAVEMEN" (1982). Tons of extras, including an interview with the Giant Apeman himself. You cannot miss this!
Jokes apart, just few minutes ago I've read from someone on IMDb "THE EVIL DEAD" is a total rip-off of an obscure movie called "Equinox" lol. Things like that could destroy my sleep for decades IF confirmed. Fortunately, YouTube is a friend of mine and the trailer of "Equinox" fastly popped up. YouTube, marry me.
Sorry alarmists and haters, but "The Evil Dead" is such an unique movie... and there have been millions of movies dealing with forbidden books and hypnotized people long before "Equinox" anyway. The more I see this trailer the more I'm convinced "The Evil Dead" ripped off Raimi's mind.

There are TWO 1973's Oldsmobile Delta 88 models out there... in the same universe !!!
Speaking about Oldsmobiles...
The ORIGINAL Oldsmobile was left in Morristown, Tennessee in 1979, after the events of TED. At first. Ash(ley), having survived the last, desperate attack of the Evil Dead, had been left traumatized, insane, gravely wounded and weakened. I suppose he tried to walk the trail Scott had previously discovered. The car was useless at that point; the bridge had collapsed hours before.
Later, Ash had his car back. I think he repaired it by using his "engineering" gift/abilities.
In 1987 he drove to Wadesboro and... the car eventually ended in 1300 A.D. Shit happens, I guess. The car looked destroyed. Seriously, I doubt Ash used it again in some different fashion like AoD Black Haired Ash will do. Well, this is it.

The SECOND Oldsmobile ("The Deathcoaster") is the quantum duplicate of the one and only Oldsmobile which accompanied the White Streak Haired Ash (the original) at the very end of ED2. This "second" Oldsmobile is the accompanying piece of the AoD Black Haired Ash in 1387 A.D. Ash, I mean "the" Ash in AoD, would eventually convert the Oldsmobile into the infamous "Deathcoaster".
I drive away now. I love you.

Ash is... SMART! - News about the French Director's cut of ARMY
Hello Professors from the Dextin University,
I never EVER got why on hell Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell keep saying Ash is an "idiot". An IDIOT? Sam and Bruce, make up your mind, Xena and Spider-Man damaged your psyche for good.
In #1 Ash was weak and scared as hell but... he was just a 20 years old boy trying to cope with supernatural and demonic gruesome events and I challenge EVERYONE on this blog to react in a different way in that situation!
In #2 Ash was older and more skilled. He managed to survive and defeat evil. 'Nuff said!
In #3 Ash was serious nonetheless. Just angry like a wolf and pissed off. Well, he forgot the magic words, okay - I would have done the same without my Smartphone. He's still a vulnerable human man thrown into TERRIBLE and IMPOSSIBLE situations to deal with.
If you pretend one-liners are a valid indication a given character is "idiot" and "stupid", then... 90% of the cinematic heroes out there are instantaneously classified as idiot and stupid, including Indiana Jones. Which is not the case.
Ash is a flawed hero, but flawed, not idiot. I don't know why Sam and Bruce keep saying so, it's a mystery to me.

About the Director's Cut of ARMY OF DARKNESS, the only real ARMY OF DARKNESS to talk about (the American cut is indeed horrid, they butchered most of the movie and turned it into an incoherent mess):
French company Filmedia released all 3 cuts (American cut, International cut and Director's cut) on BD. The International cut and the Director's cut are culled from original film elements, so we're talking about real HD MASTERS from MGM. I just hope MGM scanned the cuts at 4k for preservation purpose, but I'm also sure MGM is not stupid at all.
The French release (click on)
Many movie buffs just testified that the picture quality of the blu-ray is fantastic.
Many movie buffs just testified that the picture quality of the blu-ray is fantastic.
To me, the only true versions of ARMY are the Director's cut in primis, and then the International cut (the one which was aired in my local theatres back in 1993).

The Evil Dead worlds... COLLIDE!
Hello Deadnoids,
"Following quite a few warnings about the graphic content featured in the
footage, Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead took to the WonderCon stage with Alvarez,
producer and original franchise star Bruce Campbell and cast members Lou Taylor
Pucci, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas and Jane Levy.
The panel began with a new trailer created exclusively for WonderCon. Very similar to the recent Red Band version, this one offered some alternate shots and the tagline, "Once you unleash evil, it will consume you. Fear what you will become."
"You can tell an 'Evil Dead' fan is a real 'Evil Dead' fan because they won't f--ing shut up about it," joked Campbell about meeting Alvarez for the first time.
Alvarez stressed that his vision for the reboot required that the effects be completely practical. To that end, Levy recalled that her biggest challenge during production was getting literally buried alive.
"Don't be such a baby!" Campbell shot back, laughing.
Assuming the film does well at the box office, Alvarez says that he's got big plans for the franchise. He'd like to make a sequel to this one while Sam Raimi moves forward with Army of Darkness 2. Then, both worlds would combine for a final, seventh film.
"I think seven is a nice number," Campbell grinned. The panel wrapped up with a special video message from Sam Raimi introducing a sequence from the April 5 release. In it, Lucas' Olivia begins her possession in the cabin. Pucci's Eric comes in to check on her in the bathroom and sees her sitting, cutting into her own tongue in the bathtub. He jumps back and slips on her severed cheek, falling backwards. She leaps at him, stabbing him with a shard of something and then, over and over, with a hypodermic needle that actually goes directly into his eyeball. She slams him against the toilet and it shatters, but he's able to beat her back with a broken piece of porcelain. Eric is left on the floor, realizing that the end of the needle is still in his eye and he slowly pulls it out as the entire WonderCon audience winces."

More and more and more food for my scenario. I'm on the right path.

No Sumeria for Ash (LOL)
Hello Bat-Winged Crazies,
We just surpassed the 6000 visits mark in... uh, what? 10 days. Okay. That's very flattering, but my mission is to make my theories known, it's not about personal fame. LMAO.
By the way, I got rid of the concept wanting a second Ash duplicate coming into existence in the ancient Sumeria. Some fellow Evil Dead fans made me notice "the" Ash depicted on the missing pages of the Necronomicon Ex Mortes had the Kandar Castle right behind him, drawn in the background. This automatically ruled out my original theory.
I didn't notice the castle because... well, I'm an idiot.
I didn't notice the castle because... well, I'm an idiot.
At this point, we just have TWO Ashes operating in the medieval times as showed on screen twice, no other imaginary Ash kicking ass in the ancient Sumeria.

The Kandarian Demon - a comprehensive guide
Hello Wiseman Johns,
I've just written the best guide to the Kandarian Demon and the Deadites. 'Nuff said.

Thank you
Hello Deadites,
Thank you so much for the overwhelming response this blog is getting everywhere... we just scored almost 4.000 visits in two days or so. This seems to me a BOOMSTICK result. I was caught unprepared, quite frankly. Just remember, this is my thing, these are my theories, there's nothing to criticize, just have fun.
By the way, I'm writing this post to announce people I've revised all blog contents, adding more elements here and there and fleshing out some concepts. So please check the pages again.
I'm also writing new sections, one dedicated to the Kandarian Demon. More specifically, I'm waiting to see EVIL DEAD 2013 to write its obvious "connection" with the classic saga. Yep.

An introduction to this GROOVY blog
Primitive Screwheads, listen carefully:
1- I'm a fan like you. A fan like you, having some fun. Don't mess with my zen thing. Okay?
2- These are my theories. I know ED2 features a quick 7 minutes recap of The Evil Dead and was meant to be a direct sequel with some heavily retconning. Okay. I know. I know. I know. Please, don't repeat it. I already know. I'm just finding a funny way to make things work in a different way, because people (casual people and not Evil Dead fans) are still confused about the furniture of the cabin in ED2 (lol) and millions of some other details not matching.
3- I absolutely love the ending of ED2. I love AoD too. This is my humble attempt to say: "Everything I watch on screen is canon". Pity on me.
4- Unfortunately, I'm Italian. Sorry if my English sucks a bit. This is not my main language.
5- Yes, I have a lot of time in my hands.
6- Bruce Campbell... if you're reading this... you ruined my life forever. Thanks!
More contents to come. Bookmark this blog. It is meant to stay. I'm an Evil Dead fan since the first movie scared the shit out of me. When I was a little kid, I rewatched Evil Dead II 840 times or so, spreading the good word in my school. And I was only 16 years old (and no friends whatsoever) in my local theatre watching Army of Darkness. Good ol' times.
